Office Building - Tech Park Rozhen, Sofia

Reconstruction and expansion of an old administration building which was a part of a textile factory, further redesigned to shelter a variety of high-tech industries. The new office building includes the former two storey administration and adjacent service facilities of the factory organized around two inner yards and as a result triples the existing office area in the complex. Tech Park Rozhen is a part of a larger mixed-use territory, that also includes Residential Park Rozhen and Residential Park Rozhen 2. The intension is to create an urban area, which incorporates residential buildings, offices, high technology industries, recreation and outdoor sport activities.
The office building is a representative part of the industrial complex and it is designed to accommodate showrooms, meeting, office and top management spaces. Prefabricated steel structure will be used in order to create a high-tech multifunctional building with large and flexible interior spaces. Context, advanced technology, sustainability and efficiency are the basis of the concept. Sustainable energy usage is one of the Tech Park’s distinguishing features as photovoltaic energy plants will be distributed on the roofs of the entire industrial area and the office building itself. Dynamic double skin façade and building automation further emphasize the high-tech character of the design. The industrial look of the interior corresponds to the shell’s design with visible steel structure and installations.
